Description

Empowering students to take ownership of their learning starts with intentionally designing opportunities for agency. In a universally designed learning environment, learners thrive when they are given the tools, time, and trust to use feedback to guide next steps, reflect on their progress,  and make informed decisions about how they learn best. This session focuses on how feedback and reflection, when action-oriented and embedded in daily routines, can cultivate learner agency, build self-awareness, and support academic and personal growth.

Objectives

  • Examine how feedback and reflection drive student self-direction and agency
  • Recognize the connections between feedback and self-reflection
  • Explore ways to streamline feedback and reflection in everyday instruction.
