Dayna Coleman
Associate Education Consultant

Dayna Coleman is an instructional powerhouse with a heart for equity and a mind for strategy. With over a decade of experience in education, Dayna has taught high school English, led AVID initiatives, and served as a district-wide curriculum coach all while championing culturally responsive teaching and equitable grading practices.

Dayna is a graduate of the Novak UDL consultant development program and known for making professional learning meaningful, leading classroom-based coaching, and facilitating teacher-driven lesson study cycles. Her coaching blends research-based strategies with practical application, helping educators design engaging, standards-aligned instruction that works for all learners.

A proud recipient of Artesia High School’s Teacher of the Year award, Dayna has piloted innovative programs like Genius Hour and Grading for Equity, and serves on multiple district committees focused on equity, curriculum development, and instructional improvement. She also mentors new teachers through California’s induction program, offering the kind of insight, encouragement, and clarity that only a seasoned educator can provide.

Dayna holds a B.A. in English from Michigan State University, a teaching credential from Cal State Long Beach, and a Master’s in Instructional Design and Technology from Walden University.
