Description

Observation isn’t about “gotchas” it’s about growth. This session explores how walk-throughs, instructional rounds, and feedback conversations can help identify and strengthen UDL-aligned practices. You’ll unpack different types of feedback, practice giving clear, supportive input aligned to UDL best practice, and engage in a shared observation to calibrate expectations and reflect on what inclusive, universally designed instruction looks like in action.

Objectives

  • Define the role of observation as a tool for instructional leadership, not compliance.
  • Compare and apply feedback strategies that support teacher ownership and growth.
  • Practice using observation data to facilitate reflective, actionable conversations.
  • Refine your feedback approach to better align with inclusive and equitable instructional goals.
