Description

Feedback and reflection are essential components of a universally designed learning environment. This session explores how action-oriented feedback and intentional opportunities for reflection support learner agency, self-regulation, and growth. Participants will examine different types of feedback, explore a framework for reflection, and try out practical strategies that make feedback and reflection more meaningful and manageable for both students and teachers.

Objectives

  • Describe the different types of feedback and their impact on learning.
  • Define action-oriented feedback and explain how it supports student growth.
  • Explore four types of reflection and how they support self-awareness and metacognition.
  • Identify ways to streamline feedback and reflection in everyday instruction.
