Description

Blended learning and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) are natural partners in designing responsive, inclusive instruction. This session introduces high-leverage blended models such as station rotations, whole-group rotations, playlists, and choice boards, and demonstrates how each can be layered with UDL and differentiated instruction to remove barriers, increase access, and build student agency. Through practical examples and before/after comparisons, participants will explore how blended learning can support all students in reaching rigorous grade-level goals.

Objectives

  • Define common blended learning models and explain how they promote flexible, student-centered instruction.
  • Identify how UDL and differentiated instruction can be embedded within blended models to support engagement and accessibility.
  • Analyze examples of blended learning designs that reflect UDL principles and meet the needs of diverse learners.
