Who Should Attend?

The Learning Series is an opportunity for teachers, leaders, and staff to dive head first into the many facets of Universal Design for Learning. While a majority of the content will be targeted towards K-12 educators, leaders and staff will find value in understanding how UDL will play a role in their schools and community and discover how UDL can be implemented into personal practices beyond the classroom.

Outcomes

The ultimate goal of this series is for each attendee to grow in their ability to create more accessible and equitable learning environments. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate  of completion for 8 continuing education hours.

How the Program Works

The seven part series is designed to take you through an introduction to Universal Design for Learning. Each session will be hosted live by an expert in their space, sharing knowledge, strategies, opportunities for engagement with materials and one another, and leaving you with resources to explore on your own time as you begin to work through the materials in your day to day life. The materials will be available for you to access or download for one year from the start of the course so you can come back and review any time. If you are unable to attend sessions live, while suggested, that is no problem at all. Every session will be posted for review within 24 hours along with all materials and resources. At the end of each session within the portal, there is an opportunity for self-reflection where learners can test their knowledge and continue to build and grow.
